Re: Next year (2015)..........50 years of the VW Fastback.

It'd give me another reason to bring the old girl out from the back of the unit.

Re: Hello serious newbie

Doesn't look like it had an engine in the original pictures either on closer inspection. I'm guessing rear bumper and tail lenses were removed for shipping and are in the car? Looks fairly close to the doors of the container and were perhaps removed as a precaution. Make sure you get them.

Re: Type 1 Engine in Type 3 Car?

Paul,
You would be far better off selling the 2007 to someone to put in their camper and buying yourself a new type 3 lump for the square.

If you need any help selling the 2007 lump you can either message me or on DBS ;)

Re: Hello serious newbie

Welcome along! Good solid looking square you have there. Ambon fans are perhaps ambulance fans, they were a factory option and boost airflow to the windscreen. You will likely find a knob on the dash to control this. My fasty (same Dulon/dulux colour) was fitted with this option and also had an eber...

Re: How many cars are still alive in UK?

Pete, the fasty is roadworthy for sure, just no mot. I can't tick it here as I think I already voted as none of the above.

Re: How many cars are still alive in UK?

Pete,

I've a 63 square in resto and the 71 fasty currently SORN. Couldn't see where to add these as neither are roadworthy currently so please add them to your numbers wherever you see fit.

Cheers

Re: 2013 CLUB PHOTO CALENDAR - Photos wanted!

http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r222/hotwhip-R/d612ccd3.jpg Beautiful FB. I have to ask, where did you find the "Type3" badge on the front fender? Cheers! They were stock on Australian Type 3s, mine came from oz with them. I have two spares to fit at a later date, they were for sale on oz ebay.

Re: My 63 Birch Square

I can't believe how solid this car is, it'll be stunning when finished!! Thanks Marko, you're right about not believing how solid it is...i'm as surprised as you, if not a little more relieved! it'll be a while yet until she's on the road but I have a clear picture of how she will turn out and will...
