i have the engine out now and i have movement , the fan and fly wheels move easily but not the rockers on either side . im fairly sure my camshaft is knacked or one of the toothed wheels . great this was then followed by on monday my beetle engine also dieing , which leaves me with no car , a fed up...

it must be catching , i was recovered 2weeks ago and returned under cover of darkness . looks like my camshaft is buggered , got the engine out ready to get my self very oily

:( on my way back from southampton friday night , rejoined the m5 at 11a and heard a what i can only describe as clonking from tha engine and then silence . so i coasted to a phone box and wait 1.5 hours to be picked up . saturday checked all the basics petrol, oil ,engine still turns over admittedl...

In the club hand book it gives sumatra green from 72 -73 paint code L61b.

Today i got my new type 4 variant 412 le back on the road , it been laid up for 4 years . Done a few small jobs to get it ready and it flew through 1st time . legged it down to the post office to get my free tax so its now on the road .
looking forward now to putting the miles on it

The white variant fdg 393l is now sat on my drive i picked it up the begining of the month . going for mot next week . back on the road first time in 4 years . . can you give me any idea when and where you took the pictures ?
