i never knew that mr editor! i have a little bad news, my sister was out in the car today, and she's had a little prang. someone hit her from behind whilst the was stationary turning right into a junction. bent the rear bumper and valance and corners of both rear wings. its not histerical damage but...

no is the answer to that question, i had to make my own aswell! but the whole airbox mounting tray was rotten on mine too! just got mine on the road this week, so the de bugging will commence!

all sorted now! turned up tuesday along with all my other documents ( i left a not asking not to fold my pristine birth certificate for the car, low and behold they folded it!!) never mind its only paper!

just put a pair of shocks on the front of mine, had to dremel bottom sleeves off int order to get a chisel in and knock them about and off, but my top ones were very tight, but i used lots of wd40 in the rubber itself, definitely try heat on the uppers first tho.

passed the mot not problems at all, just a advusory on an oil leak (main outputshaft seal gone hard and unbedded over time) but by the time i got home it sorted itself.
sent all my registration forms off last night so hopefully in a week or so i can actually drive it legally!

finally shocks came this week, so insured it yesterday (friday) and mot time today, so i get the car out the garage, leave it running (all be it a it lumpy) go but all the bike back in and lock the garage up, jump back in the car go to pull away it gives a cough splutter and dies, and wont start aga...

still waiting on my short shocks to appear, but in the mean time i ordered some retro cool wooden bead seat covers odd ebay to hide the tatty seats for now, bargin at a tenner each!

its been a few weeks since iv posted, but iv got all the doors built, bonnet and boot fitted and lined up almost right, all new carpet glued in most interior panels in except p/s doorcard which is in 2 pieces! ( anyone got a spare??) all lights in and wired, just need door mirrors and wiper arms now...

i know you can get the clips from status vw, as iv just bought some, but my channels were save-able so i cant answer that one, but i presume you could make some beetle ones fit??
