floor pan to body section?
I'm at the start of restoring my trekker, i know its not a type 3 or 4 but the floorpans are ghia :-)and recently sold my square to justin on here. bought new pans but cant seem to locate the section that goes at the rear of the floor pan onto the tunnel and sits on the lug to the front of the torsi...

rod is the same as beetle one, theres one in the beetle master cylinder thats in car at the moment. Nice to see she's getting the love she deserves i've got some spare 'rusty' stickers if you want them if not my new car will be 'rusty 2'

If austin doesnt want too much for the bearings i'd buy them anyway and keep them for the future !! or there's most likely somebody on here who could use them. look forward to seeing at next years DATM SHOW !!

Hi Justin, the seats should release automatically when you open the door as originally they had cables that ran from a fitting on the door pillar. The cables run round to under the seat to release the seat latch. Unfortunatally these were rusted solid when i got the car. The cables should be in with...

JPC 411k Was mine, sold on as project to singer who got it on the road. He sold it either late last year or early this year to someone on here i think as they contacted me for details but can't remember their name. certainly singer spent lots of money and it looked good.

We changed brushes but havent checked anything else yet too busy separating trekker body and floorpan !!

Hadn't even thought about the cooling ! Haven't stripped the type 3 one yet, hoping its just a broken wire otherwise it's get it rewound or buy a new one. I will want it back for the trekker at some point !! when i've finished restoring it

Was my son looking for one. Have used a type 1 we had knocking about in the end. just swapped pulleys over.

is it early or late? tried wider rears on my early square and had clearance issues on arches, but mine has been lowered

as its an early one the indicator stalks are actually quite simple. only three springs and they shouldnt fly off when you take it off, mine didnt !! but yes check all connections etc first.

??? the clutch that was in there was a 210 mm one, all did in the end was replace friction plate as we had new one laying about. should i have replaced that with 200 mm clutch then as the thrust bearing on the later clutch is different to the ones on early clutch. Sorry for sounding stupid
