I wouldn't use a cut up t3 beam to mount it as you then still have the low hanging framehead.
You could use steel u section cut fr the beam tubes and then weld the body mount tab on. Did you get a balljoint beam? As the tubes are spaced pretty much perfect for a t3

Re: my 72 fastback
Well after an eventful few months where the fasty has had it's fair share of bad luck Day before I left for ebi someone reversed into the front of it in tesco. On the way back from ebi I bent a trackrod by hitting a giant pothole. The recovery guy snapped the key somewhere between Belgium and my hou...

jtubes are just heat exchangers without fins etc so you should be fine using your existing heat exchangers

Re: my 72 fastback
its not actually that low there is about another 1/2 inch of clearance in flat ground. hence the need a new drive comment
and yeah so far no problems apart from tired shocks and leaves, so can't put a lot of weight in the front at the minute

irs gearbox ratios
i currently have the stock gearbox in my fasty and to be honest with the engine i am running the ratios are rubbish
first is as good as pointless pull away with any vigour and i need to change instantly
what irs boxes ar longer geared or are they all the same and i need to get mine rebuilt?

Re: will i get 7s under my arch?
offset is key
you will need a very high offset to stand a chance, my 4.5s are pretty damn close although my biggest problem is the top of the wheel well at the minute

Re: Anderson Arms - T3/T1 Spindle conversion
It might clear the floor just with the spindles on but then it seems rather pointless. You would be better off doing a beam swap to use the spindles and gaining about 2 to 3 inchs clearance over the of beam.
Nice idea but just doesn't solve the main problem

Re: my 72 fastback
not overly bit of drilling bit of messing about taking it on and off
would have been easier if i had taken the wings off.
thinking of altering a split bumper eventually as a sort of oversized blade type affair

Re: Anderson Arms - T3/T1 Spindle conversion
surely you are then going to run straight into the problem of the beam sitting so low it hits the floor.
that is the major factor in getting a type3 low the beam just sits so low
