Re: In Car Audio in an early Type3? Anyone done a hidden set

I will be installing an ipod to amp stereo in mine, as long as you are not bothered by it not charging its fine (it takes more wires and bits to get it charging 8)

Re: Hub caps!

The short answer is no... Domed caps fit on clips that work on the inside of the cap. Type 3 ones fit on pressings on the wheel and work on the outside of the cap. You may be able to cobble some way of holding them on though. ... and if you're selling early type 3 caps let me know - I love em! Mike...

Hub caps!

Does anyone know if i can get a set of domed hub caps for earlynotch/type 3 steels?. They usually fit the flat jobs, but would prefer to run the domed sort if possible.

Re: exhaust problems :(

Go for a turbo thomas header and then make up a back box. Have a looksy at my thread. A bigger exhaust and a stainless one is always worth it 8)

As has been said, if you have more than a tiny bit of end float its not good and you will need to have an engine rebuild. It means that things have worn much more than is reasonable and will require new bearings and possibly crank etc, but you will only be able to tell on the case split. 8)

Looking and sounding nice dood, weird you had problems with the type 3 kit from CB? I got mine via John Mayher and they went on like a dream aswell. I get 93bhp out of my 1776 with twin 40s, and that should hit about the 100 now as it is nicely fully worn in 8)
