I dont know if anybody is still following this thread but I'll post an update anyway. I loaned my car to BBC Alba (Gaelic telly) yesterday for them to film a feature for their version of Top Gear. I made it to the small sprint track and the sun was out, all going well until the TV presenter hit the ...

Cheers Shawn, I got the stripes about 3 years ago off ebay but Im sure that any sign shop could make you a set with whatever you want on them. If you want the stripe width and spacing measured to get the stripes right let me know and I will get a ruler out. And yes, when parked on the new drive the ...

Nice sunny day so I decided to try something. I bought a set of Type 3 side stripes long before the car got painted but never got round to sticking them on before paint and was too scared to do it after paint. Today I got brave. The car went from looking like this; http://img.photobucket.com/albums/...

Lots of people who know nothing about cars know what a beetle is but not many folk know what a type 3 is so less demant = lower price. I had a square back before my fasty that cost me £100 ...

Been a while so time to add an update. Finally after 2 1/2 years searching I now have a full set of NOS type 3 over riders The first set I bought cost a lot and came from America but when they got here were not type 3 over riders. The second set cost not as much and came from Germany but again, were...
