Very similar to mine but nope! And you got it. No way of tracing it937carrera wrote: ↑14th March 2018 - 10:05amI thought you were PO of this car viewtopic.php?f=8&t=12715 at first.
I suppose you lost touch with your buyer & can't trace through to current owner ?

Looking for my Old Type 3 Fastback 1600E Iberian Red
Hi guys, Logged back on here after a few years. Thought maybe someone on here may know the whereabouts of my old Type 3. I sold it in 2014 needing the money, and have missed it ever since. It's an Iberian red 1600E, and when I sold it had Australian C stripes on the side and Riviera wheels. Reg is U...

Re: Converting FI type 3 to modern 2-port fuel pump.
Right! Done the conversion in the week and it all seems to work great! Used the bosch pump and fitted it in the standard location, just swapped out the original pump clamp for a coil clamp, as the new pump is quite a bit smaller. http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/yy334/MadMaxEdwards/volkszone%20pic...

Re: Converting FI type 3 to modern 2-port fuel pump.
Yay! I get it now.
Had the wrong idea in my head of how the fuel system in my T3 worked, but had a good look at the diagrams and done a few scribbles on a piece of paper, and now I'm off to buy my new fuel pump.
Will report here after the conversion is done

Re: Converting FI type 3 to modern 2-port fuel pump.
^^ Seen that thread and looked into that model of pump. Still only a 2-port pump, and the thead is unclear on how the conversion is done .
Thanks for the help so far though!

Re: Converting FI type 3 to modern 2-port fuel pump.
That's the style of pump I was thinking of going for, as its flow and pressure seem perfect for D-jet. Still only a 2-port though, so the car would need converting.
Has anyone on here done the conversion or know how to? My car feels like it's only running at 70% .

Re: Converting FI type 3 to modern 2-port fuel pump.
Ah ok i see. Just looking on some of the US forums, that's what people seem to be doing with them. If I could find an original pump in tested perfect working order then I'd rather not mess around with a modern conversion, but as I keep reading, they're just isn't many about anymore. Also, I'd like t...

Converting FI type 3 to modern 2-port fuel pump.
Pretty sure my old 3-port D Jet pump is on its way out. I can hear it struggling, the car idles erratically and midrange power is definitely down. Found an alternative bosch pump on the web, suitable for FI with a 3 bar output. Only problem is it only has 2 ports, an in and an out. With the original...

Oh cool. Are they that much bigger though, or would you be able to just about stretch the hose over it?

Type 3 FI Fuel filter - From where in the UK?
Hi all, My Fasty was running a little off recently. Struggling to idle properly, little bit jumpy while driving and the occasional 'cough' whilst cruising at med revs. Ran a little bit of Redex fuel injector cleaner through it and the problems went away completely, it was better than ever haha! Alth...

Never got that checked, as I just reset the eccentric joints back to dead upright haha.937carrera wrote:Go on then, tell us how much camber you had
Tracking though... Way out!!! The tyre shop guy didn't say exactly, but it was enough to wear a brand new set of tyres down in 3,000 miles or so .

Re: Type 3 Tracking info & Camber Adjustment
Thanks for all the replys guys! Much appreciated. New tyres and Tracking is booked for tomorrow. Had it up on the jack earlier and re-set the camber on the front. The ball-joints were all over the place, and as a result, the wheels had loads of Neg Camber. Never paid much attention to that before, b...

Type 3 Tracking info & Camber Adjustment
Going to take my '72 Fastback in to the tyre shop tomorrow for a new set of fronts and to have the tracking set up properly. Looked this morning as my MOT is due, and the tyres that were brand new less than 2000 miles ago are now bald on the inside edge :x . Would just like to know the tracking info...

Startup idle issues on Fuel Injection - Things to check?
Hi, When starting up my fastback in the morning, it's very reluctant to idle until it's had a little time to warm up. The idle is also quite unstable once I get it to, racing backwards and forwards from near-stalling (makes the car shake and Genny light come on), to 800rpm ish. It does this quite qu...

Re: '72 Fastback - Oil leaking from Fanshroud bottom
Thanks for the link, signed up for the register a while back and Jim helped me with my woes. Now running a breather fitting on either rocker cover, each running to another breather fitting on the air box. Works a treat, and my Fanshroud is bone dry :].

Re: '72 Fastback - Oil leaking from Fanshroud bottom
Thanks for the reply. Oil level is fine. Showing just under half way on the dipstick, so that's fine. Crank case pressure seems good, when i removed the breather there wasn't much coming out of it. Felt fine. The sucking is from the breather connector on the inlet manofold, and after the throttle bu...

'72 Fastback - Oil leaking from Fanshroud bottom
Hi, New here :D. Have a '72 1600E Fastback that I've had for 3 weeks, but I am having a few oil related issues. Thought this was the best place to ask for help :) Basically I'm getting oil dripping from the bottom of the fanshroud. I suspect it's coming from the back of the pulley, and it only leaks...
