They're back in, 2 people and a liberal application of rubber dressing spray. What a faff.

Another session on the squareback today. Took it down to Nick at CJ Motors for a gearbox oil top up, and assistance on refitting the popouts. https://i.postimg.cc/x8Ph9ZXr/IMG-3252.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/8cGxQGPB/IMG-3253.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/CMCWCRmv/IMG-3254.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/qMkW1pFp...

Refitting pop-out windows

Is there a knack to refit pop-out windows after replacing the seals?
I've struggled all day trying to get the driver's side back in.

Re: '67 Square continued.....

My previous attempt at a generator conversion with a type 1 alternator involved removing too much material from the alternator case, and it still wouldn't fit without major modification of the engine tin. But this only took 15 minutes to fit https://i.postimg.cc/50MqLjsg/IMG-3250.jpg The existing re...

Be happier when the stroker engine is finally fitted, but yes, happy I can use it again.
Just need to get the tracking sorted and drive it through the summer.

It's finally a running driver again.
Managed to finish the new fuel system and electric pump this morning. Then spent a couple of hours scraping and wire brushing the floors for a slap of rust converter.

Re: '67 Square continued.....

At last, the fuel system is almost complete. Tank back in, fuel pump and relay wired and everything working apart from one AN-6 fitting I stripped the thread on. Once that's replaced I can fill it with fuel and drive it. Pics to follow in a few days when I've taken some. While the seats are out I ca...

I think it's more fun to drive an old slow car fast, than a fast car slow. If you know what I mean?
I took the bus around Spa a few years ago and topped it out at 108mph heading towards Blanchimont, thought I was quick and then a German Look 1303 went past me as if I was doing 50.

According to the 1969MY owner's manual you could expect 30mpg for the auto and 31.5mpg for the manual.
