Re: Air box guard rotted away
Thanks. Nice pics. Like what you’ve done. I managed to make a not so pretty channel which I welded in place with a little bit of fibreglass filler. Primed it up and it works which is the main thing. Dry floor so at least can think about putting carpets etc back in. Will just keep a look out for a pa...

Air box guard rotted away
I’ve finally got round to exposing the the top part of the air box from under the bonnet. After carefully cutting the bulge where the air box is housed away. I’ve found that the metal guard that sits on top of the box has rotted away probably about 30% left it’s rotted past the hole where the pipe t...

Hi I know this has been covered before but could do with some help. I recently removed my air box and cleaned out untold amounts of crap from within and blew out the hoses. It rained today and I still have a leak. My fan is making a hell of a racket and one of the cables from the switches is snapped...

Re: After market heating
Thanks guys would like to get an original erbespacher but a bit like hens teeth and not sure why your going to get. Seems webasto style one from demon tweets. Looks compact and interesting. Want to use the car as much as possible so that may be the way forward as a starter. Or get a decent 2nd hand ...

Have seen some old style erbespacher systems on eBay but a bit wary of second hand units. Is there anything out there someone else has used. I only need th...

Fresh Air Box
Hi A few questions regarding my Squareback’s fresh air box, when I turn the fan on it makes a hell of a racket and there is a lot of water on the floor. Have been told if it’s block this can cause the wet floor. If I remove the the unit is it easy to do and refurb. Or is it better to get a second ha...

Re: Headlining a Squareback
Thanks mate have windows coming out as replacing runners so makes sense to do all at once. Found your threads but couldn’t access pictures not sure if too old. Don’t know if you can attach and send to me or add to this thread. If not don’t panic it’s sounds self explanatory.

Re: CERTIFICATE OF CONFORMITY FOR IMPORTED SQUAREBACK
No not yet. It’s via a mate I have out there. Was going to get as a full set as was coming in a hell of a lot cheaper. About $150 for a full set and $ 50 shipping.
Can ask him for a price if he can do it.

It was my next post. I have sent off for it’s birth certificate too Wolfsburg, but believe the turn around time is about 6 months. It’s nice to have it with the car anyway. Car should be MOT’d next week. If you could help, let me know what you need.
