Some larger panels like front scuttle, front panel between headlights, rear apron and areas around engine bay aperture. None are full panels, but might be useful to someone...

Good idea! I had to use a couple of old ones on mine. I’ve still got one spare and I thought about getting some remade. You beat me to it

Re: Hard start relay
I fitted a hard start relay to my beetle a couple of years ago after having the same problems you described. After fitting, I never had another issue. Started first time every time.

Re: Type 3 Fastback Bumpers
My ‘73 has got early bumpers fitted on it. And yes, I had to use the early bumper brackets. I couldn’t get any others (beetle, split screen, bay window) brackets to work so I had to wait and find some early ones.
Not sure if Danny Lord has picked any up recently?

Re: panel swap and RHD conversion
My fastback is a 73, but has had several panels swapped to make it look like an early car.
All four wings are early, as is the front panel. To the untrained eye, it looks like a 60’s car. The lights have also been swapped to early lights, but it doesn’t look like the wiring has been chopped about.
