Re: Fresh Air Grill

I`ve had to take the air box off completely, its spot welded all the way up the sides then stuck with some form of sealant to the underside of the grill.

Re: Rain getting in!

I`m having the same problem. Vent holes were taped up but the damage has already been done. Both bottom and top corners on mine have rusted through along with the adjoining bulkhead. Good luck .

Re: Fresh Air Grill

Looking at the pictures you sent in the link I`ve not only got the same problems with rust in the box at the bottom but also at the top and its rusted through into the bulkhead. The only option I can see is to drill the spot welds out and remove the box completely to be able to get to repair it and ...

Re: Fresh Air Grill

Thanks for the link JSR-69 that will be a great help. It seems such a fiddly job and I`ve been searching for pictures/diagrams to see where the drain hole/holes should be or how the "air" is/should be routed? I`m trying at the moment to clean the paint off the box to find the spot welds lol. Once ag...

Fresh Air Grill

Well it started out as a little "poke" with a screw driver and its now turned into a series of holes lol. Bulkhead, underneath the fresh air grill and where the fan sits all need surgery ffs. Front ends been removed to get the petrol tank out and dash will have to come out next.......oh happy days. ...

Re: Eberspacher

Thanks richtbiscuits I had some beetle ones handy and yes they are too small. My door cards and clips are ok I just wanted to replace a few of the perished rubber grommets and was wondering if someone else had found a suitable one off some other model?

Re: Eberspacher

Did a visual check yesterday and everything seemed ok so I twisted the switch. Green light stopped on, fan was working and the low growl of heater was heard. I was sat in the car and with hand above the demister exit waited for heat.....nothing! Got out of the car and noticed smoke coming from the b...

Re: Eberspacher

Don't worry about putting me off that's not hard lol. The heaters not a priority as its a summer car also but I was just curious . I`m going to have a look today and start with the fuses under the back seat and take it from there. Another quick question. Are the door card rubber grommets the same as...

Eberspacher

Decided today I ought to look at seeing if my eberspacher heater worked. I was told by the previous owner that it worked but I have not needed it so I turned the dial on the dash and.....nothing, no green light nothing. Searched the internet and learned that the heater "pullup" by the handbrake has ...

Re: New radio in my car

That radio looks spot on. What model did they fit in the 412? I`ve got the hole and it needs filling but unsure which model to look for.
