Now its back to a Rolling 30 year tax exemption
I do hope most of you are aware that all the 412LE's and Type 3's should be tax exempt now. So please make sure that you inform DVLA if they havent already. 412LS's should be tax exempt after April this year.

Re: SP 2
We sold ours a couple of years back to someone up North of the country. The only problem we had which made it really awkward was the piston ring size on the scraper ring. Ours was badly worn that it affected exhaust emmissions and with not being able to locate one we could not afford time with it st...

Re: Ere it is just a thought?
Way things are with our farm at the moment perhaps we will look at moving up North and solving the problem  . Trouble is taking all what we got here somewhere else and getting the workload finished what we have at the moment. So as much as I would like to rectify the problem all I can offer is ...

Yes we thought it was a really good idea. It has an electric washer pump instead of working off the tyre so it is a simple set up. The horn worked off the two other arms on the centre of the steering wheel.

Ere it is just a thought?
In the very early days of the club there was a very enthusiastic member called John Gallimore who did quite a lot for the club like the magazine and rustling members. Just out of interest does anyone know where he is now. It could be a nice idea to get some of the first members to a reunion. Some wo...

Well what can I say you have done a splendid job we are really impressed. Shawn has it a little bit wrong about the washers being on the steering wheel. Our estate 411 that we had called Ebby the previous owner had set the washers on the steering wheel instead of having to reach over and push the bu...

Re: Our 411
it all depends on the year of the 411. The brake pads, discs and calipers all differ between years. In our early years we got caught out many a time with our 1970 411. The discs can be the most awkward bits as some have recessed oil seals and some have flushed. If you have no brake assembly at all i...

Re: Breakdown spares?
hi claire you must get that problem sorted. Bryan say there is a poxy piddly circlip and a nut that holds that shaft in place. It has happened because somone has removed the shaft and not fitted the circlip properly back in place. You need the paitiance of a saint to get it put back in the recess pr...

Re: My old 412 2 door saloon
There was a marathon blue 412LE that was on personalised plates that was in superb condition. A man who worked for the war memorial society had it and that was about eight years ago. I have a feeling it might be in the southampton area now. I have photos of it somewhere justn got to find them. I hav...

Re: New to Type 4 Q's
I found with the smooth vinyl seats I could sort them out with a quick flick of the steering wheel. Mind you that was in the days before seat belts being fitted in the rear of the car and the requirements of a booster seat. Roundabouts were really exciting for them back then especially when they had...

I have about five but some are never going to see the road again. One member in the past had a vast number sitting in a field at one time but I dont know if they are still there.

I thought Jim Bourne had some but it has been a few years ago so he may have sold them all by now.
