Heater control lever config

Can someone post up pics of the heater control levers by the handbrake fron an early type 3 (mines a 64 Notch). It's not the twisty knob arrangement but levers my handbrake lever mount has 2 horizontal mounts for levers and I'm struggling to find a pair of levers. I bought some and they mount on a s...

Re: Type 3 towing weight

Cool, I have got a 1776 in my Notch with discs all round so I don't think it will be a problem.

What is the towing weight for a 64 Notch?
Thinking about getting an Eriba caravan for the shows.

Notch Leak leading to tinware question.

Right then, I have got an oil leak on the Notch and have been advised it is more than likely the camshaft core plug in the crankcase, which means engine out, tinware off, split the case etc. Whilst I am at it I intend to swap out the tinware I currently have fitted with some better condition stuff, ...

Not been keeping this up to date so here are the updates cut and paste from my local club forum. Update, sadly no pics have come through as yet, but here is the story. Both front and rear screens have come out to replace the perished seals and it seems the dreaded tinworm has found its way into the ...

In this case they said that the trim goes on the glass and then it goes in, and the trim goes in at the end...........
It turns out that the rubber that was sent was in fact too small.
A new one will be there on Monday.
That means I might be able to drive it to work one day next week!!
Yip Yip!

Trim fitting in a rear window seal on a 64 Notch

My Notch is in having the front and rear window seals replaced as well as the bottom corners of the front screen replaced. Just had a call from the bodyshop to say the front is done but the rear is a pain in the arse. They managed to get the seal on the window and fitted but despite what they try, t...

At Bristol Volksfest I discovered the window seals were shot and were letting in the weather. It has gone in to get them replaced and sadly to sort the grot I fear may have started in the flange. Unfortunately it seem the whole roof will need a respray due to the difficulties previously had when try...

The new Webers make a world of difference, really pleased with it. The bill was a bit more than I expected, but the Type 3 manifolds etc I got from CB were pants and needed polishing and fettling to fit properly. The next problem I have found is the bloody front screen seal has gone and lets in rain...

Cheers for the comments chaps. A quick update for you all. I called the engine tuner on Tuesday and popped in to see him on the way home from work. When I got there they were just getting it sorted for a power run on the rollers. http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d176/misterscoops/photo1.jpg http://...

I have been using the Notch a bit more recently and after any motorway use or getting a bit warm the bloody engine has developed a misfire. It was doing it on the way to Sandown Park and I put it down to crap leads. I have since replaced the HT leads, plugs and dizzy cap. It has a brand new 6v Pertr...

I would be interested if you also offered one that offers a little more flow. I have a 1776 in my 64 Notch so wouldn't want a stock exhaust on there but love the look of what you have there. My current exhaust is a stocker with the baffles removed to allow better flow. I really like the look of that...

Why doesn't it fit then fella?? I fitted an NOS Hurst shifter in my 64. All went in nice and easy even though the reverse lock out doesn't often want to engage. The hardest part was drilling the tunnel and then screwing the chrome trim to hold the boot in place into the holes through the carpet. You...

I have just scored some heat exchangers for the Notch. I have also added a badge bar to the front along with some lights. In the Spring it is going back in to get the inner-wings stripped and sprayed as well as the front valance and spare wheel well touched up after bottoming out leaving Oktoberfest...
