Re: Is this a Type 4 Roofrack?

That kind of roof rack was a dealer option in the US. The type from the two pictures from Samba is the type used on both type 3 and 4 in the US, AFAIK. I cannot say that they were exactly the same, but anything else would seem strange to me... I have also seen the same type in pictures of some kind ...

I am sorry for the late reply, but if you still need a good tip, try VW Classic Parts in Wolfsburg. If you provide them your key code, they will file a new (original VW logoed...) key and ship it to you for 15-20€, if I remember correctly. http://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/ They are part of the...

I am also running slightly dented originals, but they are a tad too shallow... I have bought a set of "Wolfsburg" caps that I hope will be better.

I know I need 19mm (if I can find em) radius head bolts but am fast developing a headache over the length of the bolts. From what I can find on tinternet the ...

Thanks for the kind words...

The VW scene here in Norway is better than ever, I think. The far most popular model is still the Beetle, but it seems like the type 3 is catching on, too. Type 2's are quite popular, as well as Ghias, but they are rare...

Re: Anyone ever polished alloy wheels?

...Is anyone running 914s on their car? If so can we see some pics to see how cool they look 8) Cheers, and happy cruisin. Manus. I think they look quite cool when they're not polished, but then again, my car isn't exactly in "polishable" condition... http://blogsimages.skynet.be/images_v2/00...

Were they fitted to specific models, and exactly from when? We've had a little discussion about this in one of the VW Forums i...
