lol!! ok- its too late now- im committed - or willbe soon :)

So .....the fan housing went on, but didnt line up, so rich ground back the bolt more and the housing a bit and it went on straighter :) hopes its ok!!

Yes, well the fuel injection is replaced by carbs. solex 32s
I did wonder about washers/shims- if filing the bolt doesnt help. im trying later...

i changed the cam and the pump to match. think it was a schadek 26mm. will it matter to the fan shroud set up tho?

praps its the whole oil pump?? i put a new cam in and had to change the pump and it was thicker....

They are probably not helpful, but im going to grind the bolt back. i did fit a new oil pump, which needed longer bolts...

It visibly pinged off, when i unbolted it!! I think its a oil pump thread thats sticking out too far....

the fan is not in. I will check the level of the housing. the linkage is not tightened- just slotted in the hole

whats an impeller


I am bolting the first half to the block and as i tightened it the thermostat linkage became quite stiff. I wondered if had to be torqued. i have tested the thermostat with a hairdryer- it is working.

Hi!

How tight should i tighten my fan shroud? if i fo it too tight the thermostat flaps dont move very freely.. or should i disable the thermostat??

Hello Im slowly putting my engine back together and have got to the oil cooler.....Ive got three questions!!
