Re: Carb options.

I've got the original oil pan on my ICTS (fits perfectly) and a stock looking linkage system which i had to build. That's one problem with the ICTS, the linkage system ...

Type 3 Deluxe window seals?
Trying to find a new set of deluxe window rubbers for my squareback, they're pretty hard to get hold of.
Found some in the states, but they are very cheap which questions the quality! Anyone got any experience with these or other recommendations?
Cheers all.... it's been a while B)

Late Type 3 seats???
My Square is a 73 , it desperately needs new front seat covers, we're coming up to the 200,000 miles mark! They are the three point seats , my question is are they the same as a beetle? they do look it but when I came to fit a beetle plastic side panel to one of the seats it was to short so i guess ...

Just built up the new engine but the oil cooler keeps leaking. First fitted with the spacer washers and standard (red) 10mm id seals, pissed out oil evrywhere just on tick over with the starter. Did the impossible (according to Haynes), removed the cooler with engine still in  removed the ...

Re: pulley seal?
Yarp Dave, just refitted that myself  The reason it's too big is it's made of silicone, more heat resistant than rubber but over time can stretch all on its own  Cut it so its a just under the right size, staple it together (x2 staples) and if you have some Evo (which i didn't) also ...

Solex 32 PDsits, idle adjaustment????
So how do you adjust the idle when there's no idle screw!!!!!???? There's the volume screw and thats it, I've never really looked into adjusting the idle and setting up the carbs myself but even my dab hand mechanic friend is baffled!! :| The 34's have a idle adjuster why don't the 32's and howd you...

Re: 1972 Fastback Floor Pans and engine?
I'd check VW status are supplying decent pans, as the one i bought from them a year ago was utter crap!!! It didn't fit in any shape or form. I'm warning you now cuz no one warned me!!! :\ If you've just got holes here and there, by a cheaper beetle pan and mod bits of it, it worked for...

Carb Setup?? Type 3 Solex 32 PDSIT's on a 1776
In the process of building a mild 1776 with a 110 cam for the Squareback. I'm really hoping I can get the stock type 3 carbs to work on it.
Anyone got any ideas on setup? venturis? jets? emulsions? e.t.c.
