Re: 70s bumper rubbers

I have an unused t3 one ( i bought 3 to get 2!) - cannot remember if its front or rear. The 411 rear bumper one fits the rear T3 bumper - beetle ones not long enough.

Re: Carb balancing

If the carbs are in decent condition (no excessive wear in shafts) or vacuum leaks - this is something that any mechanic can do if they want to. Most carbs have a factory setting that is usually a good baseline to start from ( 2 turns out) for mixture screws for example. From there setting idle spee...

Re: 1971 FI notch won’t run

I swapped from FI to carbs (40mm dellortos) because of engine size being too much for stock FI system. But if I had left it 1600 I would definitely get that FI system sorted - nothing better when running as intended...good luck sorting

80x92 sounds like a great torque motor for a squareback - that won't need a downshift :-)

Re: '67 Square continued.....

Maybe slightly loosen the mounts and space top mount a few mm? If you tightened everything with the motor on a jack maybe its worth a try. As long as you use 10.9 grade fasteners you can add spacers and avoid messing about shortening the manifolds that are super-short as it is...

Re: Bullet front Indicator Wiring Help

you’ll need twin filament US spec housings if you want to retain the running lights plus indicators - or just write them for indicators using the wiring diagram above - running lights look cool though...

nice wheel choice for the car - I reckon with black bolts and caps they'll look the part - you can always add satin black inserts if they look "too much" -

love the coach wheel - nice choice. I bought a knackered one and painted the rim white but think the original finish looks great in a T3.

all sortable but eBay advert is not clever.
it does notneed TLC - it needs fabrication.

Re: Is a 1975 Porsche 911 starter motor compatible with my 1970 T3 Auto Squareback

If you can find an electrical place locally that rebuilds starter motors, generators and alternators - they should be abl...

They are quite a rare item - I had mine rebuilt. You may also want to look at hi torque starters for performance bugs - they will have similar output required to start an auto -
