i have it in my 67 fasty that in restoring, the cables are shagged and i dont realy want to replace them, im going to get a pair of fire extiguiser pull for track cars and mount them on the front of the seats so A. means you can flip the seats to let people in the back B. means if you want something...

im in the middle of converting a 6inch beam to fit mine, im only going 6 inch so i can run adapters and then create a 4 inch beam if you understand my logic :?

yeah it a common think my mate ripped his handbrake clean of the tunnel in a mk2 squareback, if you want a hand on evening on a saturday olly id be more than happy to assist

what model polo you got, you may know my cars from seeing them around, white mk3 polo coupe lowered wide arched on 13 x 8 steels, and now got a matt black mk3 golf estate on pirelli p slots,
might be a year or 2 before i can cruise mine lol nearly finished the welding on the first side :(

How are you going to narrow the torsion bars? They're 5/8" thick spring steel and have splined ends!
nothing to say he could have new ones made from scratch, aint a cheap way to do it but its a way to do it

the only part of your question i can help with is the dash, id say leave it in because on a lot of the samba build threads they put the dash in first as its easyer to do up the back screws

be interesting to see how the porsche 1700 lump works as i managed to pick up a 914 1700 type 4 bottom end with barrals n pistons but they look ropey so ill replace them n the heads with standard 1700 type 4 and some high lift rockers and big carbs and see how it goes

cool to have a car with some history like that mate, one wierd thing i noticed is that that car has c piller vents which i thought only 70s cars had, correct me if im wrong though

my early fasty has been fitted with an irs rear end, ive been told that my options to fit the box is to make a gearbox cradle from scratch or to use an early cradle and build the irs into it

inners sills, where from?

as name suggests, mine are very very shot, to the point where the floor pan isnt atached anymore, looking on t3d they list outer sills, heater channel bottoms and heater vents but no inner sills.
so where abouts can i get them from or do i have to use other ones off a differant car?
