Re: Steering on low ffasty

When I had my beam removed/converted, the chap told me the beam created 18 degrees of bumper steer on full drop.

That’s quite a figure.

Needless to say drives much better now.

That cooler is massive!

The one previously had fitted was attached to the rear beam with a bracket and duct. Was 1/4 size of that though.

Re: Stanford Hall club display, Sunday 5th May

I’m all ready for tomorrow! Car has been cleaned.... sorted a few wiring gremlins out. Do I start to rebuild the sticky brake calliper I’ve had for almost 3 years???

I’m looking forward to tomorrow, Hopefully nothing goes drastically wrong this evening.

I’m not one for paint, my mate who is told me I should use washing up liquid in the bucket when flatting off. I’m unsure but a mop would help and then a DA sander for the a reel nice finish. Did I mention I’m not one for paint?!?

That square bung, had a few of those in the past. I enlarged the hole on my dash to fit a mk1 golf rear heated window switch. Then about 2 months later at the volksworld show in the auto jumble was the correct (looked correct to me) rectangular heated rear window switch. Not as expensive as your 356...

Interesting thread chaps. It’s like a “who done it?” But more of a what is it??? My money is on the master cylinder. Might I suggest transferring the rear line onto the front port of the master cylinder. Could be a iffy rear port of the master cylinder. In my experience soft pedal is due to not enou...

Re: VDO oil pressure sender

Can you not rotate the adaptor 180 degrees?

Remove the adaptor and go straight in?

Fit your new switch in the place the type 1 pressure switch is located? Not sure you can do this. It’s been a while since I’ve had an air cooled motor.
