Re: 1971 Fastback KBY 217K winter 2016 tidy up

it looks easy enough to make, unless your die hard on original. which i assume you aren't be cause of the 944 brakes. Chain drill the slot then file it out, big hammer in a vice to get the bend. you're more than capable. Its provably easier than finding one

Re: 1971 Fastback KBY 217K winter 2016 tidy up

Re: 1971 VW Type 3 Fastback

If only I knew, I was trying to restrict myself to type 3 blues. But none really tickle me right. I like the colour on the filler flap, but its not a VW colour, so I might just have to get that custom mixed.

Ah thats good, what did you remove to get it to turn? crank?

You don't use an email address. You will need to join a website like flickr or imageshack. You upload the photos there, you then need the direct or img link. Then on here at the top of the reply box is a button with a little picture. Click that and you will get img in some brackets. Paste you link b...

Re: 1971 VW Type 3 Fastback

Lets have a bit more then. I had a bright idea that I should have my rear wings blasted and then put them in this epoxy too. During the hot sunny weekend I laid them in the sun and let the waxoyl heat up. It was much easier to wipe off. Then I dropped them off of blasting. They have come out very we...

Re: Vaccum pipes

Im sure ill be correct if im wrong, but the single connection manifolds were for carburetor engines and the two port manifolds were for fuel injected. So on this link https://volkswagen.7zap.com/en/rdw/typ+3+typ+4+k70/t3/1972-33/1/129-18000/ items 2 and 4 are fuel injected and 1 and 3 are carburetor...

Re: Balance plpes

In your previous thread you said one manifold had two ports and the other had 1 port. They should either both have two ports, or both have 1 port. As couple of us mention here http://www.vwtype3and4club.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=13884 Ive moved this to the workshop and merged it with the ori...

There is a company based on the Lincolnshire east coast somewhere. They bought a complete 71 fastback wiring loom from me as a pattern. They were in the business of re manufacturing wiring looms. Might be worth a google. In the mean time ill try and remember who they were According to this https://w...
