Doesnt look like Type 3 Part to me. Certainly tidied that up well. If you can add a seal to that, it wil help you a lot in summer. Currently your cooling fan will be able to draw in hot air from the engine bay. Even if you just bond some rubber flaps as best you can, it will reduce the amount of hot air sucked in. Theres also the grom...

Electronic ignition just adds a wire from the coil to the distributor. Removing the regulator doesnt change much, if it was done properly. most of the wires are still used.

Ahhh ok, I forget the age of your car but............ Ill reference original colours for ease, hopefuly this helps, ignition is a black wire that runs from the coil + (there are 2 maybe 3 wires from there. One to the diagnostic plug if still fitted, one to the reverse light swtich and one to the fus...

And infact this shows 1 TL on the road. But doesnt show a capacity. Im guessing its an admin issue, as there are many ways of refering to our cars.

Glad you found it, at least they are opening and closing now. I would guess that the thermostat is getting tired. Keep your eye out for a replacement at a jumble or on ebay over the summer. Then youre prepared when/if it does fail

There is a procedure for setting the hight correctly. Have you also got it located correctly in the bracket? With out the thermostat do the flaps operate fully?
