I moved the fasty to the other side of my garage earlier, and removed the drivers side front wing. It seems a little worse than the other side, and once I remove the nasty patches i'm sure i'll discover a bit more. The sill and a post seems the same too, crusty and grotty! http://img.photobucket.com...

Popped back into the garage earlier, and removed the rear wing. It's much better at the back than the front thankfully, needs a couple of patches re doing and the rear flange tidying and welding, but overall i'm pretty happy. Just need T3D to get back to me to see if their panel is any good! http://...

Evening update... Wing and bonnet are off... Doesn't look too bad under there, but there's a couple of old grotty repairs: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/mike_d_esquire/fasty10.jpg Out with the chisel and hammer then! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/mike_d_esquire/fasty11.jpg A bit more...

Thanks for the welcome everyone, it is indeed the one off retro-rides, I moved it from my mates to my house last night, so it's now settled in my garage so i can start tearing it to bits to see what i'm dealing with. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/mike_d_esquire/fasty9.jpg I'd quite like to l...

Is it an early front panel fitted to your fasty? I'd like to get rid of the number plate bulge on mine, and its got a bit of grot in one of the lower corners.. are the panels still available?

Cheers,
Mike :)

1972 Fastback

I picked this up the other week, it's been off the road since 2003, needs a few patches of welding to the inner arches, the dent knocking out / wing replacing, and an engine fitting. It seems to have got around quite a bit back in the day, and my plans are to keep it in the style it is now, but with...
