Re: front floor heater controls

If it's a late Type 3, you need these I think: http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k99/chino_uk/fasty/4837AC53-A95D-40D0-B1CB-E6B6D6F08837_zpspq5ckncx.jpg You kinda clamp the cable between the fittings(I seem to remember swearing a lot trying to do this), and get this: http://i86.photobucket.com/album...

Re: Lower trailing arm parts

Thanks Broady, interesting reading. My upper trailing arms seem reasonably in spec after adjustment, but when on the shake plates yesterday I noticed both lower arms had movement, so will be looking to source bearings/bushes and seals to renew. I seem to remember lowers being the same as lower Beetl...

Lower trailing arm parts

Am I right in thinking lower arm needle bearings and bushes are same as Type 1? What parts will I need if I'm replacing, inner, outer, grease seals? Thanks in advance :)

Re: Outer window seal/scraper

Just to update I'm in touch with ISP about sourcing the various parts(I'm after a few other bits so may as well do a bulk package). My drivers side window is marked from a rivet by the looks of it, has never bothered me enough to change previously, but if I'll be stripping and changing all the peris...

Thinking about it isn't it 1/4 light out as well to do the job ?

Steve
If that's the case I may as well see if I can source a replacement for that too, it's looking quite old and dry now.

Re: Outer window seal/scraper

Thanks guys, I've been in touch with ISP (I suspect that will be the same parts T2D have), I might just have to take the hit and make a day of it with the disassembly :)

Re: Outer window seal/scraper

Many thanks I shall take a look. Are there other parts that are recommended to be changed at the same time, or can it be changed without too much dismantlement?

Outer window seal/scraper

Currently mine has recently developed this appearance: http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k99/chino_uk/fasty/98E3B984-9442-4CFD-9D6B-F5731841C2DD_zpsh0cgpvml.jpg I've read a few old threads which seems to suggest direct replacements are not available at the time, just wondered if anyone knew if that ...
