There is a procedure for setting the hight correctly. Have you also got it located correctly in the bracket? With out the thermostat do the flaps operate fully?

Interest with the Fasty. But as ever it always falls on the same weekend im likely to be working at Donington Historic and the other halfs birthday. So stanford hall falls into third fiddle and ill know nearer the time!

I do, which is why ive used the lightest of smears. Unfortunately its not a standard pump cover, because im using a type 1 to type 3 case adapter.

Because im fed up of old warped faces never quite sealing with a paper gasket. So I use a smear of liquid gasket to kept it from leaking.

How has it been 3 months!? I have done things with this one honest. The first thing was I worked on repairing the belt housing, only to find a replacement from the well know type 3 parts man, Danny Lord. So I sent that for powder coating. Along with a couple of other bits of tin that I had trimmed. ...

I found the oil filler tube gasket in my box of gaskets, it looks like it came with a set. I can get some made if we need a supply though?

Admiration indeed! I was out driving my type 3 yesterday. The heater set just so. I meant to say, the "filler" in the blower box was actually a rubber type flexy sealent originally to prevent water ingress. Obviously years of heat and cold has turned it rock solid.
