Re: M codes

Thats strange Mike, I dug out the original bill of sale for my car, it shows the options as 002 and 454. It states 454 as US spec, but doesn't say what 002 is. It was a "Tourist" car. (US peeps could buy a car, have it delivered anywhere in Europe, do a tour then ship the car back to the states) as ...

M codes

I got my birth cert for the Square through this morning :D (Deffo original engine 8) )
The car had these options/extras M 002 and M 454 but they cannot be identified...
Anyone out there have any idea what they may have been?
Its a US spec car if that makes any odds.

Injector seals?

Where can I get them? I'm guessing GSF, but cant get on with there site. Its both the inner and outer injector seals I'm after. Also I need the seal that goes between the fan housing and the large bit of tinware that the bellows seal attaches to. ISP lists it but I would rather get one in this count...

Re: My wifes 1500 s razor

The info on the Samba for type 34's isn't very accurate. Good as a guide I guess though. According to the samba, my 34 (vin number 0 064 930) was built July 62. The actual date was Aug 15th '62 making it a '63 model. The 63's started 0 064915. I'm pretty sure the RHD model wasn't out until 1964? Hav...

Re: Rust Treatment - advice please!

I've just spent a couple of weeks bare metalling some panels. I found that washing with Clarke rust remover (machine mart) removed alot of the surface rust, but do wear gloves espec if you have open wounds!! For the pitting the best stuff was Bilt Hamber Deox-c gel (online). Brush it onto the pittin...

As above.
I've heard bad reports from some unhappy peeps using these on there freshly painted cars, apparently they easily scratch the paint.
Pretty rare thing you've got though 8)

Re: 64(i think) Square 1500s

My '67 has an agreed valuation for £6500. It looks no way near as clean as yours does, although it is difficult to tell from pictures (mine looks nicer than it is in pics). Mine is generally rust free, but every panel is dented/scratched, the interior is not pretty. I cant see you having any problem...

It has just dawned on me that it is only a week till Stanford Hall :D As such I was was wondering what is happening about any convoys etc that people have, or might have organised, that we could tag onto with our 412. I was looking at travelling either up the M25 and M1 from home, near Gatwick airp...
