Re: 914 brake calipers on 412's
Thanks Judi so theoretically, can I rebuild a drivers side calliper that I took off last year, to replace the sticking one on the passenger side? Or is it just the 914 calliper that is uni-sided?

914 brake calipers on 412's
Is it right that they are interchangeable from side to side? Ie, you don't need to have a side specific as the unit does either side? If this is the case, why can't the same be done with the 412 double nipplers? Also, have I remembered right that the 914 calliper can be used on a 412, and do you nee...

Could someone measure the input shaft of 412 gearbox ?
I was told that it's 17mm. Now is that minus the teeth or with the teeth? And how many splines does it have? Yes I'm still having issues finding a clutch so I can still drive mine as it's a daily. But the slipping clutch is getting worse.....
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Re: No rear indicators
Sorted now :D I'd missed a wire that had been pulled off a connection, but looked like it was still attached and it also had a dodgy earth that someone had spliced in another wire to add confusion of a yellow colour. Whatever, they work again now. As for the reverse lights. That's coz the switch on ...

Re: No rear indicators
Funny enough, I've found the reverse lights aren't working either.....
And as it's a new gb in there, I'm guessing the wire was forgotten about n the other end is probably on the old box.
Would that not being connected have any significance to the flashers?

Re: No rear indicators
The fronts work and flash at the slightly faster speed that they do when a bulb is out on indicating. They flash at normal speed when the hazards are on.

No rear indicators
The engine was out fora new gb to be fitted. All lights working front n rear, except the rear indicators. I have found a flappy wire with a box type connector that goes back to the main coil of wiring in it's jacket that goes off to the left of the engine bay as you stand behind the car. But nothing...

Re: Fitting Speaker in dash top
I think with the bits of air hose removed you can get access, but disconnect the battery as the wiper motor has power through the self-parking wire, and if anything went wrong, the linkage is capable of cutting off a finger, I'm told. This is true, the wiper motor on my early bay made a right mess ...
