The 01270 disc would have 52mm caliper bolt spacings & has a type 3 part number as well as the type 1 number it does state July 71 Offset from the face of the disc to face of the hub is different between the 2 discs (Hence different calipers) 3170 disc will have 76mm caliper bolt spacing & has the c...

01270 is Beetle The double check would be the spacing between caliper bolts- if they're 52mm ish, then you need the beetle disc, if 75mm ish you need the 411 disc Paruzzi are very good at answering questions, so it wouldn't harm to get them to check the thickness I'll check the thickness of the nos ...

Same year, Porsche 914 Front or VW 411/412 ( the porsche discs will have a 411 part number !) It depends on the year of your car- if it's earlier, you can get them pretty much anywhere, if it's Late, look for Porsche 914 discs
Machine 7 would normally be my first port of call

Make sure you've got the dissy clamp in place before you put the fanhousing half on, as the flap linkage bar goes over the top of the adjuster nut

Is the steering properly centred?
Wheels properly balanced?
How old are your front flexy hoses?

E10 will knacker every rubber component you have- fuel lines, pump diaphragms etc
E5 Super unleaded is the way to go
It should be marked on the petrol pump nozzle when you go to fill up

An engine stand doesn't do you much good in all honesty with a type 3 engine- You can't put the flywheel on, so you cant set the endfloat or install the flywheel oil seal, and without the flywheel on, you can't tighten the front pulley. Well done!
Next we need to encourage you to wire brush/plusgas the Caliper bleed nipples & get them loosened before reassembly
And warn you that most people find type 3's a bit of a bugger to bleed!

A good wire brushing of the exposed thread & lots of plus gas ought to do it
A blow torch might help as well, before you go to the extreme of a blob of weld on the nut

On the yellow side it appears to say 40 something
I'd guess its for setting float/ needle height
But a bloody sight more expensive than feeler gauges!
Let's all tell Danny that he need them!

I've tried Toyo 165/80/R15 but I wouldn't recommend them- very noisy
I'm now on Nexen 165/80/R15 which are lovely to drive on
