Re: 412le help pls look
You need to put that on Facebook, I brought mine off here last year, 412LE,
Got it on the road now,
There was a 412 LE on gid it 12k,
So the thing is how much will someone pay for it
I know how much wireless paid for his,
If I sold my beetle I'd have it

412 brake calipers,
Hi I think the calipers on my 412 could do with a overhaul,
Is there a kit available,
Or alternative calipers available,
Wireless said there's a thread on here, but I can't find it,
Cheers

Has anyone fitted a servo to there type 4
There was a chap from chesterfield who had fitted a Peugeot 205 to his yellow type,
Alan ? Was his name he's a mechanic , own garage.
That looked complicated,
Seen some fortunate had a servo mounted in the front away from the brake pedals.

Re: seat cables ???
I did mine ok, as the passenger seat cable had snapped, you connect on to the release handle assembly, and thread it thru the outer that's fixed, passenger seat ( remove battery first)' and it is then looped on to the bar that moves the release mechanism, found it quite easy as the back of the seat ...

As I've manage to get the clock out of the dash and replace about 4 dash lights, I've still no joy with the petrol gauge, I feel the sender unit may be kaput,
I've seen type 2 and type 1 splitty ones for sale, would one of these do.
Taking note the type 2 is twice as much as the splitty one,

Fit a new condenser, check the points, I put the timing light on mine, no 1lead was duff and no 3, so I put a new set of leads on, change the condenser, set the points, she runs a lot quieter, responds, and starts straight away, so much for so called professional restoration companies, or qualified ...

clutch cylinder bleeding
Clutch adjustment, the clutch has gone slack on my type 4, with a bit of investigation I see its a hydraulic one, so can anyone tell me were is the filling tank for it, as there is one in the front which I assume is for the brakes, as I have bled and topped the one up.

There is supposed to be a Allen key bolt in the top and you need to loosen the bottom bolt, I found hitting the Allen key bolt (a nut head on mine) took up the tension I tightened the 2 up jobs a good UN.
