I got the crush washers from eBay. Seem to remember it was a motorbike spares place. I just measured the diameter and searched eBay. I expect the jubilee clips would be on there too.

You just need a letter from a local Vw garage or your local club on some headed paper so they know who wrote it. Not sure if this club has a anyone but I know the ssvc club can do valuations at shows.
