Re: Aftermarket Exhausts for a Fastback

all will be quieter and crisper than a zoom tube. I remember putting a zoom tube on my first beetle (that I still have) and I loved it but long trips got a bit noisy... Re: Aftermarket Exhausts for a Fastback

The EMPI exhaust is a budget system - it hangs out the back of the car, usually needing the rear valance to be "massaged" out a little - mine did not last well. The Thunderbird version above is much better quality but does not fit the type 3. The monza 4 tip is similarly low quality and sits really ...

Car is now away being painted in Porsche Meissen Blue - a 356 color - mid grey / blue. Will upload pic...

Re: 72 square running project

Red rear lenses do look cool - I have a set for my late square when I finally get around to finishing it! - One option is to fit indicators in the reverse light section with orange bulbs - another option is to fit green leds to the indicator - through the red lense - the light appears orange - appar...

There are some really good videos on YouTube on how to raise the rear and front of a squareback. Suspension uses torsion bars rather than traditional springs - the video will help make it clear.

2.5k is steep unless you are going for something really special. If you bought door panels, seat covers and seat pads, headliner from TMI and took the lot to a decent trimmers and asked them to make up a carpet set - I cannot see that coming anywhere near 2.5. Frostys trimmers in Feltham are good bu...
