There are 3 screws in the rim..the bottom(central) one holds the headlamp onto the wing..the other two are for adjustment

Remove the bottom one,& with a little effort,the headlamp will lift up & away from the wing
mark the threads,so you know how far they go into the nut

Yes,theyre a straight swap!,mark the screw threads with tippex before you dimantle,to give a guide to headlamp adjustment on re-assembly!

Bulbs readily available from gsf/halfords etc

might be worth going somewhere like maplins or rscomponents & buying a can of contact cleaner,which is safer & easier than faffing around with steel wool..then just go through all the connections methodically

Dave was right!!..two different qualities of parts & strangely enough,GSF Bristol doesnt stock the higher quality,due to lack of demand!
Needless to say,theyre now on order!
