Re: '67 Square continued.....
I've added some more spacers under the rear engine mount, but still can't work out why the engine is sitting higher than before. I've had to bend the exhaust tailpipe down a bit to stop it rattling on the rear valance. At least it's being driven now, although the tailgate is leaking and the battery ...

Re: Players classic at Goodwood
I've driven mine home from Spa Francorchamps in Belgium to Bristol in one go. Just over 9 hours driving, bar the 35 minutes parked on the Eurotunnel.
Isn't that the point of having a classic car?

Re: Single Circuit master cylinder
Pre '71 buses run dual circuit master cylinders on drum brakes, when you fit a disc brake conversion you remove the residual pressure valves to stop the discs binding.

I don't understand why you've been told you can't run dual circuit master cylinders on drum brakes.

Yes you can, but you need to swap the brake fluid reservoir for a dual chamber one.

Re: Wing seals
I've got a roll of 20mm x 3mm self-adhesive closed cell neoprene tape in the garage, so I'll probably end up using that.

Re: '67 Square continued.....
The bracket can only be fitted one way, and the spacers are exactly as they were fitted previously. It's really baffling, and so annoying while driving that I've removed the air filters. I think I'll see if I can get the top and bottom manifold mounting faces machined down. The car drives wonderfull...

Re: '67 Square continued.....
It's a swing axle car, so the gearbox is secured to the frame horns by the same gearbox bracket, and the same number of spacers used at the rear engine mount.

Re: '67 Square continued.....
Just a quick question for anybody reading this. Is there any reason why since refitting the engine and gearbox it sits about 10mm higher? The air filters are higher than the decklid now. The new bearing caps and carrier mounts were refitted 90 degrees out, and at opposite ends. 20 minutes and it was sorted. https://i.postimg.cc/QNw9cPs8/8ymqj-Va-ERi-OEBbx-Meu-O9-A.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/XvzjFz4C/IMG-6897.jpg Once the weather has improved I'll dry the car out, readjust the brake pu...

I think this is an English equivalent to Ninove. The town is shut to all non-aircooled vehicles for the day.

Re: '67 Square continued.....
Yes, I would think so. That's why I'm hoping the larger volume CSP master cylinder will work.
If not, I'll be running a separate solid brake line from the master cylinder to each rear caliper.
