While trying to adjust the bonnet catch today we managed to snap the cable of the bonnet release. Luckily the bonnet is open. Hi I am putting my Fastback back together after restoration/re spray. the front brake pipes from the brake fluid reservoir are part metal pipe and part low pressure hose. Hi Can anyone post some pictures of how the bonnet springs go on a late type 3. took mine off when welding in that area and they don't open the bonnet properly now. not sure if they are on right.cheers

Are you talking about the front ones that look like this ? http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j103/slapheadpaul/bumperironbracketbeetle.jpg If so I got some to replace the rusted ones on my 72 Fastback. they are not exactly the same I had to adapt the hole slightly to get them to fit. Hope this helps...

I got TMI covers from Karmann konnection for mine. great fit good price when I got mine a few years back. shop around if you want TMI covers as the price varies a lot from supplier to supplier.

The Number plate bulge on mine was cut out and smoothed over using the original front panel. The rear number plate light had the same treatment. Good luck sorting out all the rust! mine has some rust problems in the same areas which I need to get sorted. No MOT at the mo. http://i78.photobucket.com/...
