well today my friends i drove the square!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! after what seems an absolute fookin age i took her out for a blast and it was soooooooooooooooooooooooo awesome!!!!!!!! arm out the window, massive stoopid grin on my face.... peeps lookin like what the fuck is that it was just sweeeeeeeeee...

fitted the cool back box today...sounds awesome!

just gotta fix the idle wire to the carb it snapped and connect the clutch cable and im out there!!!!!

it suddenly appeared behind the dash....
i canot locate a prong to fit it to within reach..
there are a few empty prongs in a group of 3 right behind the speedo clock but this wire is 2mm short to reach...
any clues peeps?

Poke out the drains in the corner of the doors. Type 3 doors do let water in - the rubber scrapers don't seal perfectly. Just make sure they can drain, spray inside with waxoyl or similar, and keep the plastic seal fixed to the door behind the door card or that will get damp and damaged. :thumbsup:

the water runs down the inside of the door and pillar as it should..... I don't understand that water flows down the inside. Are your door seals in place and OK? door seals have seen better days but are all there yes the water is collecting at the door bottom but cannot afford new ones no chance fo...

water ingress problem
when the water drains down the roof gutters and into the small gap at the front wing/door edge..... the water runs down the inside of the door and pillar as it should..... when it reaches the sill it seems to collect and then squeezes itself over the sill trim and onto the heater channel and thus on...

Managed to get the glass back in the runners/channels, but the bar keeps slipping off. The window is only resting on it. Can't find any remains either in the bottom of the door. as the engines out i decided to remove the rear wings as i really need to oxide primer the body panels ready for the winter. ive managed to get 1 coat on today including the underside and half the engine bay. inside of the rear wings need coating too so lots to do next few days http://i934.photobuck...

good thread...when i drove my 1600 stock carbs and stock oil bath to skeggy the other week,
i drove it fairly hard and hit 55 - 60 on the straights and the MPG was really good...
i reckon i was gettin high 20's...

like ive said in my build thread ive had to raise the beam from 3 to 2 splines and tbh
its so much better for my roads (and ive rid the beam of the bolts) but if

I suspect it's part of the diagnosis wiring if it's a 72/73 car. Do you have a white multisocket in the engine compartment? The system used various connections to check electronically on the state of the engine. They used the voltage drop variation on starting as a way of checking compression! Coul...
