Thanks chaps i will have a looksy at what arms i have at home and let you know. The spindle on the drivers side is shot really and does need replacing, so will look at the odds n bods and let you know sizes etc.

Does anyone know if these are the same as any years of beetle ones? I need new spindles and and or arms but wondered if any of these were the same as beetle?

Really no problem, credit where credit is due! you should definately make up some type 3 panels, you will certainly earn a few quid! Those 2 outer lights are definately early low spec (N) rear lights i have them on mine and is on all the old pics etc

Hello mate, i have powder coated mine in satin black with a texture. it works really well with heat and doesnt get effected.

I was going to paint like you have thought but this seemed easier to me and at £20 was a bargain and saved all of the hassle.
