Hello!! After all this time... I have replaced the coil and the fuel pump and cleaned the carbs... the coil had failed, the fuel pump was leaking into the oil and a jet was blocked - so.. It starts and runs now, but both carbs are leaking.... i have bought bushes for the spindle at the bottom of bot...

Hello my car won't start!! we have renewed the coil, the starter/solenoid are working fine, fuel is getting all the way to the carb float bowl. now looking at chokes/carb blockages. i've got dual 32 solex carbs- 1 -how should the wiring from coil to chokes and cut off valves go? mine is one wire fro...

CSP in Germany do the Inner Sills complete with the Heater Tubes. Not cheap but they have them in stock. VW Heritage also list them. Probably from the same manufacturer ? Got mine from T3D, supposedly made just for T3D but they look just like the ones from Typ3 Konny i.e. no Heater Tubes but that d...

well, for sure the upper heat exchangers, it's always had an after market exhaust with me. I am just looking into stuff, because it broke down on that very hot day- tho we were in a traffic jam, my friends vws didn't over heat! we've solved a fuel problem that didn't help, but the engine was extreme...

hello

I've just seen that I have an open tube blowing cold air into the engine bay. it looks like a pipe is missing or where the upper heat exchanger should be...
I've just read on here that the hole should be blocked off- shall I?

hello

what is a parking light warning light supposed to indicate?
is it the green or blue light on the gauge?
I thought the green one was a main beam light and the blue was for high beam.
but all my diagrams say parking light warning light k4......

I bought the halfords large one in the end- as mike reccomended :)
It fits the square a treat and when I don't put it on inside out it seems to work well :D

Thanks Dave- someone said I should see if I could get the wheels balanced on the car- to check if the discs are warped.... The car was made in December 70- it's actually a pastel white car! L90ish I think :D Il get someone ( Barry) to check- but that sounds like the beetle ones will be an option ......

Does anyone know if the brake calipers on my 71 square will be the same as a beetle? i just looked on ISP west and the only caliper number i found was 311615108 - beetle 68>
