Becoming a club member

Post by DownLow » 4th June 2015 - 12:33am

Hello all,

I've just been reading the information sticky about how to become a club member and was wondering whether payment over the Internet had been arranged yet, as I don't have a cheque book.

Thanks in advance Paul

I renew by standing order, so I would think you can.
I'm sure Dave (Editor) will be along soon to say for certain.

Hello Paul.
Sorry - been snoozing!
We don't have a Paypal account as a club, but there is a bank account you can make a direct payment to.
Because we're not publishing anything, and have relatively small expenses, at the moment we're pretty much living on the interest of quite considerable funds. The membership fee is therefore simply a one-off £5. Obviously anyone can decide to make it a regular payment if they wish.

Barbara (treasurer) should be able to give the necessary account details for a transfer, but she will need your form for the membership list. Her phone number and address is on the form (01273400463), so probably best to contact her by phone, or send a note with the form.
Dave.

I've lost track of who is a club member and who is 'just' a forum member, since most of the forum use names other than their real ones. I guess I'm the same, being 'editor'! Hmm, hadn't thought of that before.

Maybe we could include it in a signature, but I think it's too late for that now.
Dave.
