28mm Hose

I found this as a potential replacement for the 28mm hose to the cool air mixer valve on Type 3's

Its plastic, but is made for a heater application.
I can confirm it fits and looks spot on, but because I can't find a pair of the solid metal pipes that run under the cylinder head tin I'm using it front to back, so I will have to keep an eye on how it copes with being around the engine (its not in contact, so I'm confident).
If you have the pipes fitted then it should be fine.

"Deaceabea" (the Late blue square that turned up unexpectedly when We were in Wolfsburg) Had a quantity of correct paper hose made up Mike.. Not sure if He's got any left though.!
You'll be receiving a pair of pipes at some point.. they're just not in my sticky mitts yet

Actually you already gave me one side, but didn't mention it so not to over complicate the post...
The bracket on it isn't compatible with the tinware I have fitted... I was waiting until another one came up, then modify this one to fit whichever side it needed to go on - there... complicated!

I remember that source for the paper hose, like you say it was a while ago.
This stuff is cheap and arrived in less than 24 hours - I just thought it was another option & worth a mention.
