A frame for type 3?

Post by Tris. » 21st February 2016 - 4:40pm

After having a scary experience today, being towed home with a rope, I have decided I don't want to be towed with a rope ever again.

I don't have the space to store a proper car trailer, so was considering getting an A frame. Does anyone know if there is one suitable for a type 3? Or are there any other options I could consider?

I don't know much about recovery A frames, these days you can get poles for towing eg https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/tb-2s-t ... ng-damper/

Towing with a plain rope needs care and sympathetic co-drivers, and the poles take up much less space than an A frame.

Hope that help Tris

Also check the towing regs too, as there are stricter rules and limitations on self-recovery these days than was the case years ago.
