Notchback Rear Vent Trim

Could anyone show me how these chrome trims should be properly installed. ...

They just push on, and scratch your paint!

Yup that's the conclusion I'm coming too ... but they seem to look rather weird as they don't follow the curvature of the body and kind of stick right up high on the outer vents!!!

I don't know about the modern reproduction ones, but I had some genuine ones and they seemed to look ok (they still scratched the paint though...).
The front vents changed in profile a bit over the years, and between body types, but as far as I know, Notchback rears are all the same.

Thanks Mike ..... could only find the rear ones .... seems that's enough hassle for one week .... especially after just tackling the pop outs and door overhaul ..... sometimes its best to pay someone!!

My point was that the rear ones should fit regardless the year of the car.
