..........and running a classic computer (Windows XP / IE8)as well as a classic car this is probably the straw that broke the camels back as I now have to use Firefox for the site to work properly.

Some of the other forums I use have gone a similar route, but when viewing on a PC the whole of the screen width is still used, at the moment only about 80% is used on a 4:3 screen. I can't see a setting in the user control panel to achieve this, is there one ?

Oh, and good luck with the spammers, looks like they are getting back in again according to the notifications I am getting.

I'm using XP/chrome with no issues.

Nice new forum, same setup as earlybay.com.
The only issue I have now is that photobucket won't let me post any pics, unless I pay $400 a year to let me have 3rd party hosting.

I think I've figured it out! If you use Emojis in posts ans pls, the old forum couldn't cope and gave the sql error. I use another forum that isn't up to date and if found removing Emojis allows me to post

At least Steve seems to have sorted out the bandwidth problem, cutting it by over 60% in August, compared with July when the Russian MegaIndex was active on the site.
