Rear light terminal camp identification

Post by broady_6 » 20th November 2017 - 7:25pm

I expect this will be a easy one for the experienced. The rubbers on the back of my rear light clusters arent in the best of health

I note there are two types. for the twin and single terminal holders.

Among my stash of parts I found a few of these 311 945 281

These are obviously different, are they from the early car? Given theyre a type 3 part number I assume so.

Further to that, as theyre in good condition does anyone have the sqaure style I am after as a trade for this triangle ones?

eBay, Mr Kelly I believe.

Single spade ones.

Perhaps you may find the double one by searching for late karmann ghia light bits rather then type 3

I have ordered parts for my T34 from this guy in Germany. Don't expect a lot in the way of communication (i.e any!), but I've always received everything I ordered and the shipping has never been expensive.

That explains a 'rogue' one I found a while ago (Stonor maybe?). I thought I'd put that odd good one on a light unit, and found it wouldn't fit. I wish I could recall what I did next with it! At least I wouldn't have thrown it away - I never do that.
