Anyone know the whereabouts of KPA 227K Variant?
This car was in a UK BBC TV series around 1995 called "Olivers travels" you can find it on you tube, car was last taxed in 2003, I'm just interested if it's still out there.

You haven't actually watched the film, have you?

It looks like it was last taxted in 2002, then changed owners in 2003 Date of last V5C (logbook) issued 18 February 2003
Ive done a bit of googling, I assume you have too, found people talking about it on a film forum.
The reg rings a bell to me, but I cant think why.

I assume it was a dummy car, as the program is from 1995 and the car was still taxed in 2002.purplepeter wrote: ↑2nd December 2022 - 9:29amI was alluding to the fact that it got burnt out in the film, having seen that page too!

Re: Anyone know the whereabouts of KPA 227K Variant?
I found the burnt-out one with a few other cars (including a Beetle that sat there for many years) on a bit of ground beside the A87 at Loch Duich. As well as being burnt it was peppered with bullet holes. The body looked reasonable from a distance but when I went beside the car I found that it had panels riveted on to cover up the rust and roughly sprayed. I salvaged the rear bumper which was in good nick but only held on by bits of electric cable. There was no engine.
Some time later Rhod Grubb told me he'd been asked if he had a Variant that was suitable for being burnt out for the film. He offered them a Fastback that he had for spares but it had to be a Variant, so the Fastback stayed in his garden.
