Whilst browsing around for carpets for our bug found this lot who make carpet sets for Type 3 & 4's.

Don't know about the prices though, but the carpets look good :D .

I just fitted a Newton commercial carpet sourced from T3D to my fasty. Nice carpet and all the cut outs for seatbelts etc were spot on.

Not cheap but at £210.

Newton Commercial took over the Dylan Cheesley's carpet speciality - he was the master of VW carpets - spot on with everything, as close to original as you could get.

I have a TMI set and the quality is good. Needs some cutting for different model T3 (i.e. early heat controls) but generally top-notch.

I thought I should mention this here incase anybody else has the same experience.

I have just had to take out the side parts of my carpet set to send them back to Newton commercial as the seams arround the heater outlets started to come appart.

I havent been using the car so heat wasnt a contributing factor.

On the plus side, I contacted Newton Commercial and they didnt hesitate to offer sending out replacement sections but it was deemed a better idea to send back the parts I had for repairing to make sure the carpet shades matched and they will cover postage costs.

I will stick them in the post tomorrow and let you know how things go.

Dave.

Just to update on the carpet repair.

I sent the parts of the carpet which needed fixed back to Newton Commercial on Tuesday and I got them back on Friday along with enough stamps to cover my postage.

The repair looks very well done and a lot stronger than it was originally.

Very good customer service and I would happily buy from them again in the future.

I bought Newton Commercial carpets for my bug and they're ace. I'll be getting some for the Notch soon if they do them...? They do come with a lifetime guarantee against mould too!

DizziBird, the only place you can buy the type 3 carpets from Newton Commercial is through Type 3 detectives as I found out.
There was somebody on here selling notch carpets, are they sold?
