may sell barn find
do i sell it or do it up whats the cost and whats the 1 thing you have to look out for ?
Welcome to the Forum.
The one thing to look out for is the rust in the lower 6". If it's reasonably clear, and some of those older ones rust less than newer ones, it's well worth restoring.
Generally mechanical bits are available, but not much in the way of repair panels for the shell. The outside panels are not too hard to get and they all come off with bolts etc.
Get a good look inside the boots and cabin, and underneath the back seat and the floorpan.

Re: its hard
If you are unsure now before you start then it's not the right car for you. You need total commitment to take on a type 3.nooky72 wrote:its hard , do i dont i ,i have a bus that need doing as well

hi. my square was in a similar condition but after a lot of welding-in panels, most of which i had to make, its on the mend. floorhalves, plus everything round the back end had to be cut out. the bumper mounts at the rear were just not there right up to where the wheelarch ends. making those little trap doors that let the rubbish out of the airboxes. must be mad!
