Replacement mirror glass, do you need some ? (Bulk buy ?)

My 412 currently is running with type 3 mirrors because the glass in the type 4 mirrors is missing or the silvering has tarnished.

I have found a supplier, local to me, who makes custom mirrors for many classic cars.

I'm going to get two made, and thought that I should see if there is anyone else who would like some making at the same time

I have been told the cost is £10 per glass, and they will bevel the edges. It's flat glass only, obviously.

I suppose if someone wanted type 3 mirrors they could perhaps use mine as a template ?

I can take them to Harewood next week (if they are ready), otherwise I'll just post them out for people

Right, there's a decent chance I'll be going to Northallerton glass this weekend (or next) to get some replacement mirrors made..... finally

Before I do, I thought it would be worth checking if Shawn still wants a pair and if anyone else want's to get some at the same time

I have been down to Northallerton Glass this morning. I removed the tarnished, but complete glass from one of mirrors. This will be used as a template, they have kept the frames as they will manually finish to fit. They mirrors use 3mm glass.

Best advice seems to be that when refitting we should use some silicone sealant to retain the glass in place. The oriinal mirror seems to have a rubber gasket, with some putty type glue around the edges.

I have ordered a pair for me and a pair for Shawn. If there are any last minute requests, let me know & I'm sure I can add to the order

I just need to get some clear silicone sealant to fix them in place now
