Not car related but worth an ask...mobile phone insurance

Post by shawn71 » 4th February 2014 - 8:08pm

I have come to the slow realisation that the better part of £60 I currently pay Carphone warehouse geek squad each month to insure 4 contract phones is possibly a tad excessive (£13.99ea).

Looking around some places on line are quoting less than £20 a month to cover them all including damage, theft, calls etc rattled up if they are nicked.

So my question is are these cheaper ones worth it? Or are they to good to be true...

Oops! Meant to post this in general chat...can any one move it in there? Sorry

Done, as if by Magic!

Can't You instill the fear of Death on the Children, that bad things will happen if they lose/damage their phones or buy them PAYG phones?
£720 would buy a lot of replacement phones, car parts, or even a Family Holiday

I've never had mobile phone insurance, I just buy them outright, and rely on the 12 months Warranty and the fact that I'm careful what I do with the phone, so far, fingers crossed, I've only lost one phone when it was nearly three years old and worth about £15 to replace off eBay.
