1972 Fastback Fuel Tank

Post by Park83 » 10th August 2018 - 11:38am

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to see if anyone has a decent fuel tank for sale for a 1972 Fastback. The existing one I have seems to have been poorly patched up.

If anyone can assist I would be a great help.

From previous cars I have 3 tanks, a couple have been modified and I think at least one has a perforation. You can have them if you can collect them or they go in the bin. I do travel to Bristol.

Regards the shipping, try shiply. I use it quite often and it costs next to nothing. you wont need to wrap the tanks either, just give them to a man with a van and within a couple of weeks they will be at the new owners door.

I met a guy at VWNW Tatton Park show, had a stack of NOS parts and a lot of type 3, got me a few bits inc a NOS fuel tank breather!

He also had a NOS fuel (carbed) tank. Don't know his name but was from Scotland.

Our very own Danny Lord knows him also so may have a contact for him.
