I noticed this on e-Bay when looking for something else -

Could be handy if you get a Type 3 or 4 that doesn't have a key at all. The code is on the lock. In case the ignition lock barrel has been changed, that's probably the safest code to use. If the door locks are all the same as it, you'll need only one key on your ring - handy. On Variants (estates) it's not easy to change the tailgate tumblers to make that the same as the others, and the ignition barrel is similar - the doors can be adjusted with some spare tumblers from another lock. see http://www.hallvw.clara.co.uk/lockpart.htm
